Projector Holder

Well, I’m not really sure what to call it, so projector holder it is. I have finished building the platform that the projector will be standing on, projecting into a mirror that is at a 45 degree angle pointing down. If everything is flat then the image should not get distorted in any way. The design of the “holder” is fairly simple.

After a trip to home depot I bought two pieces of wood, and a few brackets and cut them all to the dimensions I made on my plans. I needed to make sure that it would be able to hold the projector but not be too heavy to lift and put into place. Using a few screws I attached everything togehter and then used another two brackets to create a slot for the mirror to slide in.

After attaching the projector I noticed that I needed to be raised in the back slightly to get a square picture so I added an extra piece of wood in the back that the projector can sit on. I also added two hooks and a bungie cord to attach the projector to the holder without harming it. Here are the final results:
